I chose ugg boots. Because my left ankle is a little weak from an old injury and my old walking boots were hurting my ankle in the front. ugg boots do require some break-in time, but my ankle is not bothering me anymore.

Comfy, but confined to the house - Bought a pair of the Ugg short classics in Ruby. Extrememly comfortable but the intent was just to use them around the house. No real pound paving walking has been done in them. But as far as comfor and warmth, they are great. I went down a full size because Ugg was assembled in China and first pair I had ordered true to size and they were too big.
